In an environment saturated with information, the proliferation of misinformation, hate speech, and in particular the growing information overload generated by artificial intelligence (AI) has created an increasingly toxic and polarized environment. This situation calls for an immediate and coordinated response on several fronts. Factors such as the rapid advancement of AI and its remarkable ability to create and distribute content have heightened ethical and social concerns. In light of this complex reality, this book offers readers essential insights for addressing both the challenges and opportunities that AI presents in the field of information. Spanning ten chapters —based on the reflections of the Artificial Intelligence and Information Integrity Seminar, held as part of the Mexican Information Global Forum— this work analyzes the complex and multifaceted relationship between technological advancement and information integrity and explores the challenges and opportunities that artificial intelligence presents for society.
